Hi there, guys. This is Chris from The Clutch Hub. Today, I thought we'd have a look at a Nissan Navara clutch for the D40 Navara.

For those of you who have seen my previous videos, you'll know that there are two non-interchangeable clutch sizes used in the D40 Navara:

• 250 mm Clutch

• 275 mm Clutch (Featured today)

How to Identify the 275mm Setup:

• Vehicle Fitment: Fitted to D40 Navaras from 2010 onward equipped with the higher-output 140 kW 2.5L Turbo Diesel engine.

• Verification: You can confirm your clutch size by measuring the disc diameter (275 mm across) once removed, or by contacting us with your VIN number to verify before ordering.

What’s Included in the Survivor Series Conversion Kit

D40 Navaras come from the factory with a Dual-Mass Flywheel (DMF). This Blusteele Survivor Series kit converts the vehicle over to a heavy-duty Single-Mass Flywheel (SMF) setup.

Part B: Billet Solid Flywheel

• Billet Chromoly Flywheel: Direct replacement for the original dual-mass unit, made from high-strength billet 4140/4145 Chromoly steel.

• Integrated Ring Gear & Reluctor Ring: Comes complete with a new starter ring gear, crank position sensor reluctor/tone ring, and pre-installed spigot bush.

• Radial Claw Grooving: Features Blusteele’s signature Survivor Series claw-groove design on the friction surface for enhanced heat dissipation and gas venting off-road.

  Flywheel Bolts: Blusteele specifies that you reuse your original existing flywheel bolts when installing this new solid flywheel.

Part A: Clutch Assembly & Accessories

• SGI Iron Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate: Upgraded SGI (Spheroidal Graphite) cast iron cover assembly providing extra clamping force for off-road and towing conditions while maintaining a comfortable pedal feel.

• Sprung-Center Clutch Disc: High-quality clutch disc featuring premium German LUK organic friction material with a sprung hub to dampen engine harmonics.

• Thrust Bearing (Release Bearing): A brand-new replacement release bearing.

  Installation Tip: You will need a hydraulic press to press your old bearing off the factory carrier and press this new bearing onto your existing carrier.

• Pressure Plate Bolts: Includes a new set of high-tensile pressure plate bolts.

• Clutch Alignment Tool: Supplied to ensure precise centering during clutch plate installation.

• Technical Note Sheet: Included in the box to highlight critical orientation steps.

Critical Installation Tip: Clutch Disc Orientation

Orientation Hazard

Pay close attention to the orientation of the clutch disc during assembly.

• The clutch disc is clearly stamped: "THIS SIDE TOWARDS FLYWHEEL".

• This means the protruding hub side faces toward the flywheel, which is the opposite orientation of most standard clutch installations.

• Failure to install the disc in this direction will cause clutch engagement failure and potential component damage.
