This kit fits GQ and GU Patrols with the 4.2L 6-cylinder diesel engine (TD42 / TD42T / TD42Ti). Whether your 4.2L is naturally aspirated or turbo, it uses the exact same clutch kit (Part Number: BNN-9302).

What’s Included in the Clutch Kit (Part Number: BNN-9302)

• Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate: A top-quality heavy-duty cover assembly with increased clamping force. The internal pivot points have been re-engineered so that the extra clamp load does not result in a heavy clutch pedal, providing a smooth, comfortable pedal feel for the driver.

• Multi-Rate Clutch Disc: A high-quality sprung-center clutch disc featuring dual damper springs and premium German LUK organic friction material.

• Thrust Bearing (Release Bearing): Includes a new replacement release bearing.

  Installation Tip: You will reuse your existing original bearing carrier. Press your old bearing off the carrier and press this new bearing onto your carrier.

• Brass Spigot Bush: Includes a brand-new solid brass spigot/pilot bush (Nissan Patrols run a brass bush rather than a roller bearing).

• Durlock Pressure Plate Bolts: Comes with a complete set of 12 high-tensile pressure plate bolts featuring Durlock wedge-locking style washers.

• Clutch Alignment Tool: Supplied to assist with accurate clutch disc centering during assembly.

Key Installation Best Practices

1. Always Machining/Grind the Flywheel

Whenever replacing a clutch in a Nissan Patrol (or any vehicle), always machine or grind the flywheel surface. Taking a gearbox out of a Patrol is a big job, so do the job right the first time by ensuring the new clutch disc seats against a freshly machined flywheel face.

2. Thoroughly Clean the Bell Housing

Old worn clutch friction dust gets trapped inside the gearbox bell housing over time with nowhere to go. If you do not clean out the bell housing before installing the new clutch, that accumulated old dust will contaminate your brand-new clutch disc. Degrease and clean the bell housing thoroughly before reinstalling the transmission.
